The mission of a hearing aid

To highlight human speech as vividly as possible and to ensure its clarity is the main task of the hearing aid. The speech recognition function is carried out with the help of a processor that analyzes sounds by frequency channels. Speech differs from most noise sources by its alternating volume (consonants are quieter than vowels), pauses between words and sentences. It is these changes in amplitude that the hearing aid processor detects.

Often, human speech is accompanied by additional noise like TV, passing cars, wind, etc. Therefore, the hearing aid has a sound processing function for more successful and higher-quality speech recognition.
